My and Kinlee's Bathroom "Masterpiece"....

Okay, so for a lack of anything new to blog about, I went searching in the past files of pictures to find something to post today. (Yes, there are more interesting things in there than our upstairs bathroom, but I thought I'd share, nonetheless.) Humor me and act excited, please......

One day last summer, Kinlee and I were bored, so we decided that the kid-bathroom upstairs needed some excitement. The house we bought here had recently been redone inside and out, and all the rooms were done in neutral paint colors. This is one of the things I really liked about the house - kind of a "clean slate", if you will. Most of the rooms have remained as-is, but we did let the kids pick paint colors for each of their rooms. This bathroom is right in between their bedrooms, so we decided it needed a facelift, as well. So, a few bottles of Apple Barrel acrylic paint and a fat black Sharpie later, this is what we came up with. I really enjoyed spending the time with Kinlee working on it. She was a big help giving me "advice" on which color to use where and handing me things as I needed them. With the paint only .50 a bottle, our total cost for this project was less than $10! Not too bad for an afternoon project, I thought.

Now, what to do with it as they get older?? Haven't thought that far ahead. But for now, I'll enjoy it the way it is and remember how much fun we had creating it.

By the way, we bought a NEW CAMERA on ebay last night, so look out......I have some experimenting to do!!! Am I an official blogger, or what??!!! Hey - The new camera even has a neck strap - OOOOOHHHHHH!! :)
