I Killed the Christmas Tree....

That's right - killed it dead! Despite my smiling picture above, I am quite bummed that Christmas is over and that it was time to take down the tree! I think it's the fact that we put it up so early, that when I have to take it down, it looks like we've been robbed. I get so used to all the decorations being around!!! Everyone went back to school and work today, so that was my cue that it was time to put up the tree. I know I am probably one of the last ones to do it, but as the scriptures say, "....the first shall be last...." - See, I'm just being Biblical.....

Anyway, the stockings are no longer hung by the chimney with care, the lights and ornaments are now represented by a few boxes that will soon be put back into the attic, and the tree is in its body bag until next year. (I do have a box for the Christmas tree, but I would love to meet the person who can actually get it back into the original box once it's taken out for the first time). So, thank you for allowing me this vent-post to show my gloom and despair at another Christmas season come and gone. Until next year, happy tree-killing.....:(

I actually get my tree back in the box each year!!! I know your jealous..hehe!! I'm thinking after another year or two my box is going to have to go in the trash though (it gets in worse shape each year) so I may resort to the big garbage bag after that!!

Truthfully, we get ours in the box every year as well. The kids love to "sit" on it and "squish" it down so that it fits. :) How 'bout that??? You've known two people already that do that and you didn't even know it! Ha!
