We got pretty wet and VERY cold before it was all said and done, but we had a great time! When we got home, it was warm, dry clothes for everyone, a late breakfast (complete with a pancake and bacon snowman), and lots of good pictures to commemorate the event.

However, I must document one especially memorable moment of our sledding festivities. MY CRASH! That's right - I bit the dust (or snow, if you will) on my first trip down the hill. I am not a pro at sledding by any means, and have a little trouble steering, to say the least. I felt confident taking off (notice the wave and the smile), felt free as a bird on the way down, but soon came to a crashing halt in a bed of sticks, mud, and snow. I got up, my sled straddling a small creek, grateful that the worst thing that happened was that my pride was demolished and I had snow in my eye! Following the episode, I had a hard time trying to convince Kinlee to ride down the hill with me, but she reluctantly complied, and no more incidents occurred!!! We had a great time - we stayed out about an hour to an hour and a half. We are not long-duration snow people, I guess, but it was long enough for us to make some great memories! We walked home, passed our sleds off to the neighbors, and headed in to thaw.....

I love it!! How fun!
How fun. I love snow! I was so excited to wake up today and see a white ground. We went out for a little bit before we all got too cold and had to come in and warm up.
that is the same place we went sledding when I was little in Trenton (down the road from my grandmothers) and that is where they went sledding when they were kids (my dad) :) It snowed a lot more back then.
Interesting song, Mark! :)
