Spring Soccer is Over....

Well, tonight, we finished up our Spring Soccer season. It seems like it just started, and now it is time to take a little break before starting kickball. As I stated before, Parker and Kinlee were on the same team this year and that made it SO much easier! In the fall, though, they will be split up again. This season's team has actually (with the addition of Kinlee) been together for about a year and a half now. They play so awesome together, and we are sad that some of them will be moving up to the next age league in the fall. That's really okay, though, because Mark will coach both teams, and have some of the current kiddos on each (did that make any sense?)
All the kids played hard all season and really stepped up to the plate when needed. They ended up winning the championship game tonight against another really good team. There was originally a 3 way tie for first going into the tournament, but after all the play-off games were said and done, they came out on top. This team definitely portrayed great teamwork and sportsmanship - we are very proud of them!! We will be having an "End of the Season" party at our house next week - stay tuned for pictures!!!!

WAY TO GO COMETS!!!!!

You guys are too funny! Trust me - it's the beauty of the blog - I only have to post what I choose to post. You didn't see me volunteering the information that our puppet backdrop fell apart quicker than I put it together the first time, or that in one of our soccer games, we almost had a goal scored on us because Kinlee was too busy wrestling around with the goalie vest and never even saw it comin'- if that bomb by the other kid had hit her in the head, it would have knocked her out, for sure!:) I believe it was one of the cutest moments yet!!! We have a lot of fun, that's for sure - good, bad, and ugly!!! Thanks for the compliment, though!!! :)
