A Parade and a Playground....

....it just doesn't get much better than that!!!

The kids were out of school yesterday for the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival. It is not in our town, actually, but it is a BIG thing around here. It is in a town about 10 miles away - where I graduated High School, as a matter of fact!!

Since the Teapot parade here was such a rainy mess, we took advantage of the chance for Kinlee to ride on the Girl Scout float in this parade - which is MUCH bigger than the Teapot parade on a NICE day!! She was dressed up as a Tagalong (her favorite G.S. cookie) and rode through the parade singing and waving at the crowd. We enjoyed watching her.
After the parade was over, it was so nice out, we decided to play at the playground near where we parked to give the traffic time to clear. The kids had a great time there, too. We didn't attend the parade last year (can't remember for sure why?), but I think it will become a yearly tradition from now on.

I can't wait to take my kids to the parade, but we always have school. It looks like you guys always have something fun going on, not like here in Henderson. Love the pictures!
